How to categoize your gear list..

I am sure a lot of people have their own ideas of how to keep their gear list organized. I just wanted to share how I categorize my gear list. My categories are: Bathroom, Closet, Consumables, Essentials, Kitchen, Luxury Items, Packing, Shelter/Sleep, and Worn.

That may seem like a lot of categories, but it works for me and makes it easy for me to know that I have everything. Most of the categories are self explanatory. I will be posting my gear list with weights soon. Check out my Gear Closet page for a detail list.

Everyone that backpacks has his or her idea of the best knife. Over the years I have carried everything from a huge Buck lock blade to a mini Buck or the mini Gerber knifes.
